About Monica Gotta

Monica Gotta is a Full Professor at the Medical Faculty of UNIGE. Her main research interest focuses on cell division, as a fundamental process essential for the growth of an organism. Specifically, she focuses on asymmetric cell division, regulation of cell division timing and spindle assembly and orientation.

These processes are studied in the C. elegans embryo and in human cells using a combination of cell biology, biochemistry, genetic, genomic and proteomic approaches.

Monica Gotta is Head of the equal opportunity committee.
