The NCCR Chemical Biology concentrates on basic research and on excelling in pushing the frontiers of knowledge. At the forefront of research new equipment and methods are being developed that might be of interest to industries. We also strive to bridge the challenging gap from research to the intellectual property and industrial development projects.
We bridge the challenging gap from research to the intellectual property and industrial development projects, by undertaking a series of actions:
- We bring together potential future partners through collaboration with bridging platforms like UNIGE Laboratory of Advanced Technology, the Geneva Creativity Center or Alliance.
- We provide research groups at large or industry in the framework of a collaboration with research tools/ equipment and services.
- We establish collaboration with industry partners and distribute materials under MTA.
We have identified promising areas for technology transfer in:
- Systems biology
- Protein engineering
- Phenotypic screens
- Chemical libraries
- Chemical biology
